2017 Ed French Open - October 19 - October 22, 2017

2017 Ed French Open Information
This tournament is a Big 6 format, with prizes awarded to the teams with the most combined weight of their six largest carp caught. There will also be prizes for the single largest carp caught. There are no prizes for mirror carp  (including side pots).

All teams wishing to register for the Ed French Open must print and mail in pages 1-3 from the registration form (coming soon), along with a $300 deposit (or more if desired), and $20 each for any angler that has not already paid Wild Carp Club membership dues.  All anglers must be Wild Carp Club members to compete in the Ed French Open. Your $20 fee is good for each calendar year, and applies to other club events.

Entry to this event is $900 per 2 or 3-person team.

Forms must be postmarked no earlier than August 14, 2017 for those teams eligible for early entry. Open registration begins August 21, 2017. Entries postmarked before a team's eligible registration date will be returned.

It is OK to send an incomplete registration form (missing angler info, signatures, please include emails). All team members may finalize registration forms  at Opening Ceremonies during the registration period prior to the peg draw,
but the registration payment must be paid in full.

Registration will be limited to 35 teams, unless new pegs are procured prior to the start of competition.

Entry will be based on the following:
Early Registration:  Early Registration for the Top 10 teams that placed in the 2016 Ed French Open (top 5 in each section) will begin on August 14, 2017.  You must have your $300 deposit postmarked no later than August 21, 2017.
Full payment is due by September 22, 2017.
Teams are not allowed to change from your team you had at the 2016 Ed French Open if you are taking advantage of the Early Registration.  2016 qualifiers may still register if teammates are dropped but cannot form more than one team

Open Registration:  Open Registration begins on Monday, August 21, 2017.  Teams can guarantee a spot by sending in the full $900 registration amount.  Spots will be guaranteed by the postmark date on the evenvelope.  The latest the postmark date can be is Septemer 15, 2017 to guarantee a spot.  If we receive over 25 registration forms with the full $900 registration amount, the later postmark dated regitrations will have to be subjected to a draw.

For Open Registration, if teams send in a $300 deposit, entry will be based on the order received. Any day that registration forms are received, they will be guaranteed entry into the tournament up until the point that the maximum number of entries (44) has been reached.  For example, if at the time of open registration we receive 12 forms postmarked by September 2 with the $900 full registration payment, all 12 teams would be guaranteed. If the following day, 15 more teams are received with the $300 deposit only, and it exceeds our maximum, a live drawing would take place for those 15 teams. The first 9 chosen would be in the tournament and the following 6 would make up the waiting list.

All entries must be paid in full by September 22, 2017
No further entries will be accepted after September 22, 2017
Any team that makes a deposit and does not pay their balance by September 22, 2017 will forfeit their deposit
Any team that makes a deposit but does not show up for the tournament will forfeit their deposit
